Pre-Dental Society at UCLA
The Pre-Dental Society will work towards preparing students interested in the dentistry profession by providing a variety of dental outlets such as guest speakers, community service opportunities, and other program activities. Along with this, the society will allow students to connect with others in their same field of study at social events and help gain a larger network.

Daniella Hernandez

Hello everyone! My name is Daniella Hernandez, and I am a fourth-year Psychobiology major. Some of my hobbies include jewelry making, watercoloring, and hiking. I spent this past summer volunteering and studying for the DAT. I enjoy being a part of PDS because I have the opportunity to meet people who share my same career aspirations and to go through this journey with them. I am excited to serve as your co-president this year, and I can't wait to meet all of you.
Queen Chiwanga

Hi all! My name is Queen Chiwanga and I am super excited to serve as your Co-President for PDS this year. I am a molecular biology major and film and television minor. I enjoy trying new foods, taking naps, and listening to music. This past summer was spent studying for the DAT, shadowing, and traveling. I want to be a dentist so that I can help restore smiles and give back to the communities that gave me so much. Looking forward to meeting you all soon!

Hi! My name is Chloe, and I am one of the Co-Presidents for PDS. I’m a fourth year Psychobiology major, and I’m graduating this quarter! I joined PDS because it’s an incredibly supportive group that has so many kind people who have helped me along my pre-dental journey. Dentistry combines all of my interests in science, art, community service, and mental health advocacy. I also love cooking, playing guitar, and traveling in my free time (and actually got to study abroad in Italy this summer)! I am so grateful for all that PDS has done for me, and I want to continue to give back to the pre-dental community this year 🦷 🪥🩷

Hey everyone! My name is Jason and I’m one of your co-secretaries this year. I’m a 4th year majoring in MCDB, and I’m currently studying for the DAT (wish me luck). When I’m not studying, I like rock climbing, listening to music, hiking, running, and taking pictures! Can’t wait to meet you all!

Hi guys! I’m Brianna Hunter and I am one of your co-secretaries this year. I’m a senior human biology and society major and anthro minor. I am also currently studying for the DAT… super fun. I joined PDS to be around people who are also interested in dentistry and I truly believe it is such a great group to be a part of even if you are still deciding if dentistry is for you. In my free time I like to take random dance classes, hike and lately have been trying new recipes.

My name is Tashya Vakil and I am a third year MCDB major. My favorite things to do in my free time are crochet, nail art, make beaded jewelry, and go shopping! What originally drew me to dentistry was how hands on it is combined with my love for biology and anatomy.

Hi my name is Lana and I am the new social event coordinator for PDS. I am a third year biology major. I chose dentistry because I enjoy giving back to my community and think that dental hygiene is a very important part to everyone’s overall health. Some of my hobbies include going to concerts, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. I am excited for all of the events PDS has to offer this upcoming school year and to connect with my peers in the dental community!
